Uh Oh, got a call from John Mardikian owner at Telegraph Oakland. It seems his web and social media guy got his knickers twisted and locked John out of his accounts and took down his site! Nightmare. So we untangled all that and I made him a new responsive site in WordPress.

I should’ve totally kept my old Datsun truck, Phil could’ve totally made me one of these. Every girl needs one, right?
Not only did this new computer save my butt on a monster job, it’s also a cat butt warmer. Win x 2.

It’s DECEMBER!

Laine on FB:
I could say my mom’s the coolest mom ever or something, but I’m glad she isn’t. Otherwise, she wouldn’t take too kindly to taking then fixing up pictures of me pretending to be a fictional eco-terrorist. — with Leslie Straw.
Um, thanks, I think.

Tsunami, a LBGT swim and synchronized swimming teams in San Francisco needed someone to build a fully responsive site in WordPress from a design that was created by b’stro. Although I usually work from my own designs, I loved B’stro’s layout and the fantastic photos available to work with. Link to site.

Julie from Core Pilates needed a fast, effective poster to promote their new yoga course for lower back pain on site and as a new promotion for M.D.s. Because we’ve put in the time working together to build her branding and identity, we were able to come up with a quick solution that was also very economical, since we were able to arrive at the desired look and feel with a minimum of back and forth.

I love this site, and especially working with Julie Elliott, but it’s been pretty challenging getting all the inherited parts (Thesis-WordPress & Shopify-liquify) to work together. It’s tricky getting an online store to look good, but the quality of these products and photos makes it so much easier! In Fiore—if you live in San Francisco you need to check it out in person.

Another restaurant opening in NOPA, a Mezcaleria.
For her last recital for San Francisco Girls Chorus Chorissima, Laine, my favorite nerd, picks Smeagol.
as Muni. After the white busses drop the kids off at work, they take the elderly to the casinos. You could live your whole life on one, just like a muni hobo.
Guys, in ladybug land the old ladies are cuter than the youth. You’re welcome.

One minute you have a bridle made of flowers and the next you have a lime green tat on your butt.

A local (Noe Valley) preschool is fundraising to extend to upper grades. They needed a new logo that “reflected” their values — unfussy, supportive, hands-on education.

For a new logo for a new school that’s somewhat Waldorf related, I though it would be cool to start with original lead type and work backwards. Here at my favorite printers Dependable Letterpress.

for his art + furniture from his new machine.

So I was starting to photo some of the drawings from the Live Drawing Event aka Little Big Draw at Mua Oakland on my back porch that I bought (for such a deal compared to how long it takes me to draw stuff these days) when suddenly a gust of wind blows them all away! Luckily the hand drawing by Lauren Napolitano and the face by Kelly Monson land in my backyard but Michael McConnell’s bad boy sloth goes over the fence! A big rickety one and no one was home to let me in. + to having a neighborhood average age 20’s it was easy to have someone climb the fence, since my own personal minions weren’t home.

Program books, signage, and the rest! With Windesheim Design.

New Bi-Rite penthouse action.

Cooper Pugeda needed their logo and branding updated for their over-all company, as well as creating a related branding system for specialized branches.

I’ve done a lot of work for engineers over the years. I like organizing information that I know nothing about and making it understandable in layman’s terms. This project is for CPM Environmental, next I’m working on CPM’s over-all site. This is my first site using html 5, couldn’t use php on this installation. Responsive design!
ACI needed to update their brand. Their client base being upscale, they wanted a cleaner, minimal look that more reflected their approach and that has the flexibility to work in a variety of uses.
I love working with Amanda and the other Leslie :). They have a great sense of style, fun and humor.

Just saw this again today. Wonder if they ever found him?

Just started working with Julie Elliott, of IN FIORI. If only computers had scratch and sniff technology :)
