I just saw this again. Reposting because I can :) Colette is in here, if you blink you’ll miss her.

I survive heart palpitations as Colette drives us (shown here approaching Golden Gate road construction) up to Santa Rosa to see Gramma, who is back home and doing really well. Phil took his bike up and came back on hiway 1 via Hog Island Oysters for dinner tomorrow.
I gave Laine my camera as we checked out SWR while we were waiting for Colette’s BBC broadcast. As we got back they were telling everyone, please don’t leave the building. Woops :) I don’t think this photo will violate this or that. Not like that moment of the birds and the bees and umm livestock that happened before she was able to shoot this :)
L and friends getting all David Bowie on the way to the Castro

Farmer Colette! Hayes Valley Farm

So naturally I HAD to scan some puffballs and the cat.

Finally made it to one of these sketch things at Minna. I liked it a lot. Those young kids painting and drawing in front of everyone? In my day we kept all that in the privacy of our own studios. Studio is an out dated word, huh? Bonus points for nice artist who bought me a drink when he noticed I was neglected by all the bartenders :) I hope they raised a lot of money for Will Draw For Drugs: A Sketch Party Fundraiser for Kelly Malone’s Chemotherapy Drugs and Cancer Treatment Fund

Point Arena, CA We stayed in the old light keepers house. View from house (think funky 60’s style )

View of where we stayed from the lighthouse. Great weather for July on Cali Coast.

From the backyard.

Cowgirls

Then on to camping at the redwood nat’l forest. Amazing place, even bigger trees than these.

Just dropped Colette off at the airport.

It doesn’t seem like anyone is home. I don’t think they have pets.

I’m so hooked in! Grove Street Farmers Market Egg lady stashed these aside for me to freak out my kids. :) Bonus points to me for saying anything involving “hooked” for extra teen eye rolling.

Back from motorcycle camp. So cute in his outfit.

Lynn Gentry will write you a poem on any topic while you wait. Ours? Embarrassing your daughter:) He’s working on a Haight Ashbury poetry collection that is very cool. Go get your own, maybe he’ll get famous and we could all retire.
Lunch with Laine at North Beach

Peppermint dipped in chocolate

This is all candy :)
U Lee takeout for dinner! Not shown new shoes and house full of random teenagers. Cocktails to come :) Stop by!
Leave it to Lisa to come up with Charles Bukowski embroidered lingerie.

And yes these photos have to be this big to fully present every fabulous detail.

I showed Laine (13) my favorite typographer, Jessica Hische’s work, and she whips this out. While we’re driving in the car, even.

Hayes-Broderick to secede from NOPA?

Vampires using extacys and beer picnics seem like as good a reason as any.

Check it out, Friday night and almost 2 entire blocks of parking at Hayes and Divis
Bonus: a 21 Ghost bus sighting.

also that our wood floors are nastily more distressed then I thought.

If anyone still needs a tree there are a slew of them on Grove @Steiner (SF)
